Bruker received FDA 510(k) in April clearance for library and methods expansion for the MALDI Biotyper CA System, adding 170 species and species groups.
Waters announced in April clearance by the Chinese FDA of its ACQUITY UPLC I-Class IVD/Xevo TQ-S IVD System for IVD use in China.

Product Introductions
Bruker released in March the TASQ (Target Analysis for Screening and Quantification) 1.0 software for its Q-TOF MS systems for screening for trace residues in complex matrices. It also debuted Pacer 2.0 software for high-throughput targeted analyses in the routine lab using Bruker GC and LC triple quadrupole MS systems.
SCIEX launched its Custom Method Development and Consulting program for complex biotherapeutics. It is initially available in the Americas.
In April, Bruker introduced the MALDI Biotypersmart, a high-throughput option with increased laser lifetime and higher laser repetition rate. It is IVD-CE marked.
Bruker introduced the IVD MALDI Sepsityper kit and workflow with SOPs for the rapid identification of microorganisms from positive blood culture bottles. It is IVD-CE labeled.
In April, Agilent Technologies launched the midrange 6545 Q-TOF MS system, featuring improved sensitivity for routine analyses and robustness.
